En este mes de noviembre de 2016 el Presidente Xi Xi Jinping visitó América Latina con ocasión de la Asamblea de la APEC, y fue la tercera vez en menos de cuatro años, como demostración del interés en la región. Esta visita estuvo acompañada de la firma de varios acuerdos comerciales con Ecuador, Perú y Chile.
En este texto comentamos los acuerdos de cooperación entre China y Venezuela donde el pago con petróleo es una de sus características esenciales. Si esto constituye una nueva manera de alcanzar los objetivos de desarrollo y relaciones bilaterales es un asunto que sólo el paso del tiempo y las condiciones de intercambio de las materias primas nos los dirá. CHINA IN VENEZUELA THE LOANS FOR OIL/China in Latin America/ National Studies
China is an emergent actor which becomes more and more important in the Latin-American context. In this November 2016, the president Xi Xi Jinping visited Latin America concerning the APEC assembly, and it was the third time in less than four years, as a demonstration of interest in the region.
This visit, was accompanied by the signing of several commercial agreements with Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
In this text, we discuss the cooperation agreements between china and Venezuela where the payment with oil is one of their essential characteristics.
If it constitutes a new way to reach development objectives and bilateral relationships, it is a matter that only time and the conditions of raw materials exchange will tell.
